Community farming notes

Colossal Chest

This is a recorded notes page for one Season 10 community farming method: Overworld Colossal Chests with Ready to Pop, as described by DarkPirate on MetaRoad. HeroSiegeHub is not recommending the method, choosing a map list, or choosing a farm character.

The source article was published August 25, 2026 and lists an update on August 28, 2026. The on-page changelog for that update is section title, thumbnail, and published date. It does not record a mechanic nerf. That update is before Steam 7.0.6. Ready to Pop still appears in the current Season 10 Ether dataset at 50% Bloating. This page was not playtested in live 7.0.6 gameplay.

HeroSiegeHub already has a separate Amazon Speed Farm class page. That page is a community speed-farm build. It names Ready to Pop and Misty Swamp only as Ether labels. This page is the farming-method notes. The two pages are not merged, and Amazon is not the farm character.

Recorded Misty Swamp loop

Misty Swamp is the map named by the source. wiki.gg lists Misty Swamp as Zone 5-2 and lists Colossal Chest as a world chest. Those wiki pages do not confirm waypoint-adjacent chests, a guaranteed spawn, or orb rates. The steps below are the author's procedure.

  1. Do not clear the zone.
  2. Enter Misty Swamp.
  3. Check the Colossal Chest near the waypoint.
  4. If the spawn is bad, reset.
  5. If the spawn is good: find the chest, kill the Bloating pack, collect the experience, reset, and repeat.

The author writes that the chest is usually close to the waypoint, that Misty Swamp produced more Bloating orbs than other maps in the author's experience, that the author does not know why, and that this may be patched first. Those remain author claims.

The article names Teleport or Dash as movement that reduces time between chests. That is not a class comparison.

Named Ether nodes

Names, values, and effects below were checked against the MetaRoad Season 10 Ether dataset. This is identity evidence, not a click-order tree and not per-node point costs. Allocated instance IDs were not recovered from the source widget.

  • Ready to Pop

Chance for Colossal Chest Monsters to spawn with Bloating affix. Value in the Season 10 Ether dataset: 50%. Dataset ids: h436 / etherOwBig05 (big / Overworld).

Named in the article as a core node.

  • Abominable Clairvoyance

Increased Colossal Chest discovery range Value in the Season 10 Ether dataset: 200%. Dataset ids: h460 / etherOwBig12 (big / Overworld).

Named in the article as a core node. The same article says you can still run with 17 points without it.

  • Swarm

Chance to double the amount of Colossal Chest monsters. Value in the Season 10 Ether dataset: 3%. Dataset ids: h441 / etherOwSmall06 (small / Overworld).

Named in the article. Prose puts Swarm in remaining points; the 17-point widget already includes Swarm twice. The dataset has multiple Swarm small nodes with this effect.

  • Pilfering Damned

to Colossal Chest loot amount Value in the Season 10 Ether dataset: 2 / 40%. Dataset ids: h440 / etherOwBig06 (big / Overworld).

Named in the article as an optional loot node.

  • Hellsmith

to Additional Colossal Chest rolls for Blacksmith's Mallet Value in the Season 10 Ether dataset: 10. Dataset ids: h457 / etherOwBig11 (big / Overworld).

Named in the article as an optional loot node.

  • Corrupted Divinity

Chance for Colossal Chest mosters to spawn with the Divine affix Value in the Season 10 Ether dataset: 40%. Dataset ids: h447 / etherOwBig08 (big / Overworld).

Named in the article with a skip-if-not-strong warning. The description spelling is the source dataset's.

Source widget labels

The article's interactive Ether widget uses these labels. The 22+ tab is labeled 22+ and allocated 37 nodes in the live widget. Those counts are source labels, not a HeroSiegeHub path.

  • 1. Early points (17 points): widget allocated 17. Source-widget label 17. The effect summary maps to Ready to Pop, Realm of Angels four times, Swarm twice, Empowered Abominations, Codex three times, Sonya's Hunt three times, and Bloated Reward three times. It does not include Abominable Clairvoyance.
  • 2. Setup (22 points): widget allocated 22. Source-widget label 22. The effect summary adds Abominable Clairvoyance, Abomination's Eye twice, and two more Realm of Angels compared with the 17-point summary.
  • 3. setup + decent gold (22+): widget allocated 37. Source-widget label 22+. The same widget allocated 37 nodes. Extra named effects in that summary include Fallen Guardians, Flesh Golem, Swarm four times, Hidden Compartment five times, Guardians of the Coven three times, Heimdall's Blessing, Hellsmith, and Pilfering Damned.

Extra names that appear in those widget summaries, with values from the same Season 10 Ether dataset:

  • Realm of Angels: Chance for Overworld monsters to spawn with the Fallen Angel affix. Value: 1%.
  • Empowered Abominations: Colossal Chest monsters are now spawned as Fallen rarity Value: 100%.
  • Bloated Reward: to Colossal Chest monster Magic Find Value: 50%.
  • Sonya's Hunt: Increases the chance of Overworld monsters dropping Dungeon Keys when killed. Value: 1%.
  • Codex: Increased codex drop rate Value: 2%.
  • Abomination's Eye: Increased Colossal Chest discovery range Value: 12%.
  • Fallen Guardians: Chance for additional monsters to become Fallen. Additional monsters are always at least Legions. Value: 20%.
  • Flesh Golem: Chance for Ancient monsters in a zone with Colossal Chest to be spawned as an Abomination. Value: 2%.
  • Hidden Compartment: Chance to open the Colossal Chest an additional time. Value: 3%.
  • Guardians of the Coven: Chance to spawn an additional monster pack with each Colossal Chest monster. Value: 12%.
  • Heimdall's Blessing: Increases the chance of Overworld monsters dropping Bifröst Keys when killed. Value: 1%.

Codex in that list is an Ether drop-rate node from the widget summary. It is not an instruction to use Codex EXP orbs.

Hell / Inferno gating

The article says you need to be fairly far into Hell before you have enough Ether points to reach these nodes, and that for most players this means progressing through Hell, completing the required Ether quests, and reaching Inferno. That is the author's gating note, not a verified unlock table.

Season 10 difficulty names and the Steam remap are recorded on the Season 10 Difficulty Notes page. That page is not an Ether node path and is not a Hell unlock walkthrough.

Patch notes checked

Steam 7.0.6 notes do not mention Ready to Pop, Overworld Colossal Chest, or Colossal Chest Bloating. They do include "Fixed Codex abuse bug." This page therefore omits Codex EXP-orb instructions.

Steam 7.0.3 buffed Chaos Pillars Bloating chance. That is a different mechanic from Ready to Pop. Steam 7.0.4 mentions Ether nodes with values under 1% not working; Ready to Pop is 50% in the current dataset. Steam 7.0.5 mentions a discovery-range fix for cursed spirit and dungeons, not Colossal Chest discovery.

The author says the farm may be stronger than intended and may be patched. The article also says to enjoy it while it lasts. HeroSiegeHub does not resolve that caveat.

Omitted on purpose

  • Codex EXP-orb instructions
  • An invented Ether click-order tree
  • Per-node point costs
  • Derivative map lists such as Steam Train, King's Garden, or Pyramid copied as compared maps
  • The source article's own title language that compares farms

Unverified or omitted

Sources / Methodology

The loop and named nodes are recorded from DarkPirate's MetaRoad article. Node identities were checked against the MetaRoad Season 10 Ether dataset. wiki.gg is structure only. Steam notes were checked for a conflict with the method. This page does not copy the source article's prose, title language, or loot filter.
